How to Make an Easter Egg Nest

"I found this to make the nest a little heavier than the hay, but you can certainly use the twigs if you want to."

There are several ways to display your decorated Easter eggs, including placing them inside a nest. Fortunately, there is an easy way to construct a nest at home. Your children will want to get in on the fun, and can even make a nest full of Easter eggs for a teacher or grandparent.

You will need the following items to make your Easter egg nest:
  • Brown paper lunch bags
  • Hay
  • Feathers
  • Glue

Choose Your Basket

"If you have any wicker baskets around the house that are on the smaller side, consider using those."

Although they sell medium-sized Easter baskets at the Dollar Store, you don’t have to use the same type of basket year after year. It’s actually just as fun for the kids to discover what their basket looks like as it is to discover what’s in it.
